The report was signed by Representative Porter, Chair, with the following individual recommendations: Do pass (4): Green, Kott, James, Porter Amend (1): Nordlund 1994-04-08 House Journal Page 3196 HB 524 A House Judiciary Committee letter of intent for HB 524, signed by Representative Porter, Chair, appears below: "It is the intent of the House Judiciary Committee to request the House Finance Committee to consider an amendment to HB 524. The amendment would state that if a person is arrested according to the provisions of HB 524, which provide for a warrantless arrest, that the person receive an immediate hearing before a judge or magistrate. This amendment would minimize to the greatest extent possible the amount of time the person is held without a warrant."
